Celebrations: Piano and Clarinet concert for Children in Need

DSCF2544On Saturday 21st November I took part in a charity concert at John Ferneley School auditorium.  It was organised by my piano teacher, Mrs Jill Wallis.  I have piano lessons with her each week in school.  My piece of music was called ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ which is a song from the film Toy Story. I felt quite nervous and I went a bit wrong but it wasn’t a disaster and I was able to carry on. Several other children from my school also took part.

Mrs Wallis, Luke’s piano teacher said, “Luke worked really hard to make all his rhythms correct and he was a confident performer on the night.  He also made 12 individual slices for the Bake Off competition and came second in his age group.  What a star!”

In the interval there were refreshments for sale and the judging took place of the ‘Pudsey Bake Off Challenge’.  I was awarded 2nd place for my ‘Jammy Quavers’.  These were jam biscuits in the shape of quavers (a musical note).
