Extra events: Parties, Christmas lunch and a visit from Santa

Monday was ‘party day’ for the children in Years 3, 4, 5 anDSCF2701d 6. We had some fantastic games in the hall followed by drinks and party food.  A big thank you to everyone who helped to make it such a good afternoon.

Then on Wednesday it was another day of feasting.  Just after break-time,  bells were heard in the corridor and then into the classroom came Santa himself accompanied by and Mrs Walpole and Mrs Walsh.  Finnan and Harry welcomed him into the class and explained that we were in the middle of writing letters to our parents to tell them all about the various activities we have enjoyed most this term and what we are hoping to achieve after the Christmas holiday.

After Santa left it was off for Christmas lunch – roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings!

Everyone had a cracker.  One, two, three, PULL!  There were some amazing things to be found inside the crackers – some even had wind up penguins!

Then, when we had had our fill it was off to the Church for the Key Stage 2 carol service.  Look under the Class activity category where you will be able to find out more!

It was exciting seeing Santa Claus. Although I wasn’t too sure he was the REAL Santa Claus, I pretended he was so that I didn’t spoil it for the younger children.
