Homework: Thursday 19th January

  • Continue to learn your times table for next Monday.
  • Each evening read part/all of your reading book (either to yourself or to an adult) and then COMPLETE YOUR LOG YOURSELF. At least once a week remember to ask a grown up to ask you some challenging questions about the part you’ve read and then sign your log. (If you have a non-fiction book, you may need to ask your adult some questions too if there are sections that you don’t understand.)
  • Explore the ‘Roman Numerals’ website to develop your skills. Use this link roman numeral website

or you can get there directly using www.Roman-Numerals.org. Try all 6 games in the section ‘Games for Roman numerals 1-20′. Fill in the chart you have in your pack to let me know how you got on. Remember if for some reason you can’t access this site at home (or some of the games), you can arrange to use the school equipment by booking a slot (through the office) for either this Friday 20th, Monday 23rd or Tuesday 24th January between 3.15 and 4pm. Children will need to be supervised by a parent or a responsible adult whilst using the equipment.

  • Spellings –: Writing words as plurals. (See separate sheet.) Learn these words for Wednesday.
  • ADVANCED WARNING: Next week the children will be given 2 topic activities, one for next week and one for the following week. One of these activities will be a ‘cutting and sticking’ activity. The children will require glue that will stick paper to paper eg Pritt stick (or similar), PVA glue, children’s craft glue etc. All other materials will be provided by the school.
